Still on that budget. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find freelance work again. This time around though I decided not to focus on how long I was out of work, the fact that things might be tight and promised not approach anything coming from a place of lack. Decided I would just BE - aware of my situation but just BE and place my focus on the positive as a opposed to the negative or again not coming at it from a place of lack. Surprisingly at times money came to me and...I didn’t go crazy (I’m a good steward of my money - or at least I try to be) but here it goes. 2 responsible purchases and 2 splurge - awwwww yeah!!!

So this month things were a little tight! I usually am able to line up my freelance jobs - finish one and already have the next one booked. Well...not this month. I was out of work for 5 weeks. Yes, I still had my clients but most of them were no where close to being finished with their packages so a budget needed to be put in place - main things that needed to be covered rent, bills, eating and working out. If I covered those and didn’t spend any extra I would reward myself on a weekly basis. So no real Splurges per se this month more so rewards - things that make me happy.

1. Bare minerals Complexion Rescue™ Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream - So this whole BB, CC and tinted moisturizer is new to me. I wear very minimal makeup - eyeliner. mascara, lip gloss and the occasional dark lip that rarely makes it out of the house. I have been getting blemishes lately that seem to take forever to fade away so...I head to Sephora because someone recommended Bare Minerals bareSkin® Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20 (why are these names so freakin long???).

1. vans sk8-hi slim zip high-top sneakers in crackled suede - So, yeah I have a problem and...what of it? First problem is sneakers (Vans in particular) and the second problem is the store Madewell. The crackled finish and the zip back - I was got from the get go! The zipper had a leather tie on it which came off in a hot second so I got a cute leopard print ribbon and...what? Cuter than what they started out as.
